van Biema Value Partners, LLC founded in 2004, is a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission registered investment adviser managing several investment entities (i.e. fund of hedge funds) domiciled in the U.S. and Cayman Islands. The firm is principally involved in the investment management of portfolios of “Value” oriented hedge fund managers. The firm actively manages portfolios of hedge funds currently concentrated in three geographic areas: 1) United States, 2) Europe and 3) Asia. The firm’s founding Partner is Michael van Biema (Ph.D. from Columbia University, B.A. from Princeton University in Electrical Engineering) was on the faculty of Columbia Business School from 1992 to 2004 where he taught general corporate finance, capital markets, securities analysis, value investing and entrepreneurial finance in both the regular and executive MBA programs.
